On December 2, 2012, Dr. Noah Craft of the UCLA Harbor Medical Center presented the first in CBMi’s 2011/12 Innovations in Informatics speaker series. He challenged the audience of CHOP and Penn clinicians to evaluate the decision support tools they currently use and shared ways to bring expert knowledge directly to the clinical encounter using a mobile database of dermatology images.
Dr. Craft is the Editor of Tropical, International, and Humanitarian Medicine at Logical Images, Inc. Along with other clinicians in dermatology, infectious disease, and public health, he worked with Logical Images to design a point-of-care diagnostic and training system to assist clinicians with medical cases that have a visual component to them.
In the fall of 2011, one of the highest attended events was CBMis Marianne Chilutti’s primer in REDCap. Marianne detailed how to use REDCap to manage your data. She provides even more useful information in montly REDCap User Group sessions. The schedule for these and other CBMi educational events is available on the CBMI website http://cbmi.chop.edu.
